When I see the djembe
I feel the call to action
I hear the djembe
Crying for me to rise up and do what I know is right
Reminding me to be strong
Not allowing me to give up
Soothing any pain and sorrows
The djembe communicates
Tells me I’m a warrior
And I know how to listen
